Taco Bell Updates Leadership Team

To make global growth gains, the company’s appointments focus on three areas.

Taco Bell announced several key leadership appointments, with a purposeful focus on brand, digital and technology, and development functions.

The newly appointed individuals are as follows:

• Taylor Montgomery: As global chief brand officer, Montgomery will lead Taco Bell’s brand vision worldwide, overseeing global brand creative, influencer and community engagement, and brand strategy. He also joins the Taco Bell Foundation board. Montgomery has been with Taco Bell since 2016, most recently serving as U.S. CMO.

• Luis Restrepo: As the chief marketing officer in the U.S., Restrepo will work to drive market share and consumer connection through marketing platforms and product innovation. He has served as the vice president of brand and product marketing for the past two years.

• Dane K. Mathews: A Taco Bell employee since 2022, Mathews now takes over as global chief digital and technology officer. He will spearhead brand efforts to enhance customer and team member experiences through digital innovation and advanced technology solutions worldwide, notes the release.

• Amy Ellis Durini: Durini, currently international CMO, expands her responsibilities to also lead international strategy. She will work to build brand momentum across international markets, plus ensure the brand continues to scale with consistency.

• Julie Davis: Davis expands her remit as global chief legal officer and Taco Bell Foundation executive sponsor to further include chief development officer of international. In this role, she will focus on accelerating the brand’s international growth and development while continuing to lead global legal efforts and Foundation impact efforts.

Earlier this month, Taco Bell parent company Yum Brands also shared leadership updates, including its upcoming CEO change.

Taco Bell aims to have 3,000 restaurants outside of the U.S. by 2030. To do so, it plans to enter nine new countries including France, Greece and South Africa, and accelerate growth in existing markets including the U.K., Spain, Australia and India.
