Teriyaki Madness Names Chief Restaurant Officer
The former Fuzzy’s Taco Shop executive will lead operations and support franchisees.
Teriyaki Madness, a fast-casual concept focused on teriyaki bowls, has hired Scott Shotter as chief restaurant officer. Shotter will help lead the brand’s nationwide expansion. It currently has nearly 200 shops across 40 states and plans to open 45 new units and hit 20% systemwide growth this year. The brand credits existing operators and a wave of new franchisees for fueling its growth.
Shotter brings more than 35 years of restaurant leadership experience to the role. Prior to joining Teriyaki Madness, he served as COO at Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, president of Condado Tacos, CEO of Back Yard Burgers and vice president of operations at Moe’s Southwest Grill, where he helped expand the brand from 200 to more than 700 locations.
“As we roll out new shops at a record pace, Scott brings a level of expertise and understanding of franchise systems that fits our Madness perfectly,” says Michael Haith, CEO of Teriyaki Madness, in the release.
