Topgolf To Swing Past 100-Unit Milestone

On Sept. 6, Topgolf will open its first establishment in the state of Iowa.

The two-level concept, featuring 72 outdoor, climate-controlled hitting bays, is located in West Des Moines. Beyond its token tech-enabled golf, Topgolf’s full-service restaurant and bar will serve items such as injectable doughnut holes and cheesy macaroni bites.

The venue also features a 22-foot video wall, more than 100 HDTVs, an outdoor patio, event rooms, music and year-round family-friendly programming.

“Topgolf is all about having fun and making the game of golf accessible to everyone—even the most inexperienced player,” says Topgolf COO Erin Chamberlin. “We’re excited for residents and visitors alike to experience our unique style of play.”

The venue will employ about 300, from bay hosts to bartenders, ball picker uppers.
