Danny Austin, who most recently was the SVP of operations at Imperial Dade, is joining TriMark USA as its SVP of supply chain and as a member of its senior leadership team.

In the role, Austin will work to optimize TriMark’s supply chain, from order to delivery, through optimizing its real estate network, warehouse operations, and transportation, freight and logistics programs.

Austin, who lives in Texas, has worked in private equity M&A, P&L management, wholesale grocery and customized foodservice operations leadership. He is skilled in strategic business planning, business consolidation and servant leadership, among other skills. His industry-specific expertise includes knowledge of consumer packaging, casual dining supply models and chain cost structures.

In the past, Austin led 4,500 teammates across 25 distribution centers in several leadership roles at McLane Co., a Berkshire Hathaway portfolio company. He also has held leadership positions at MBM Corp., Ameriserve and Pepsico Food Systems. Throughout his career, he has succeeded in creating lean, low-cost, high-profit systems with mutually advantageous partnerships across customers and suppliers.

“Danny brings a needed skill set and expertise, adding nicely to our already talented and deep senior management team,” says TriMark CEO Tom Wienclaw. “His expertise will be instrumental in making a huge impact for TriMark’s customers from the time of order to delivery of order.”
