Welbilt’s Carpigiani Creates, Fills New Role

The new hire started at the frozen dessert equipment manufacturer this past Monday.

Anna Pata, formerly the director of sales for Barry Callebaut, a manufacturer of chocolate and cocoa products, is bringing her dessert expertise to the equipment side.

Now, as the chief commercial officer at Carpigiani North America, Pata will provide the leadership to drive brand awareness, business growth and increase market share for the company. She also will develop and lead sales and marketing activities to support the company’s strategic objectives.

“I thrive in building meaningful partnerships throughout the food and beverage industry and in leading cross-cultural teams,” Pata says in a statement. “I look forward to this new adventure with Carpigiani.”

Altogether, Pata has 20 years of experience in the dessert ingredient and supplies industry. She began her career at PreGel America, which offers products for the gelato, ice cream, pastry and beverage sectors. There, she led the sales and marketing teams during the company’s growth and expansion in the North American market. Most recently, at Barry Callebaut, she directed the company’s sales strategy with a focus on multiunit accounts across various segments.

Carpigiani, a Welbilt company, has seven subsidiaries and four manufacturing facilities serving the global market, with one located in High Point, N.C.
