Winholt’s Fresh Facility To Open in July
The manufacturer, who also is announcing two hires, says its fourth U.S. manufacturing facility will add efficiencies like expedited delivery.
With a new building and hire, Winholt Equipment Group is making plans for the Sunshine State.
The New York-based maker’s Florida unit, set to open next month, will be its fourth national manufacturing facility in the country, joining locations in Pennsylvania, Texas and California. The facility will add “significant” manufacturing and supply chain capacity to the Southeast, says the company, and will help shorten lead times.
In turn, Alex Ramos joins as the territory sales manager for Florida, reporting to Michael Chick, vice president of sales. Ramos will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing strategies for Winholt’s foodservice and retail equipment.
Ramos most recently served as Unox’s regional sales manager, covering South Florida and the Caribbean. He also previously worked in sales for Chefs Warehouse, developing the Palm Beach territory.
Plus, Winholt Names New Product Manager
Today, Winholt also announced the addition of Dawn Carlson as product manager on its marketing team. She will work to develop product line strategies, including pricing, position, rationalization and new product development.
Carlson previously worked at Star Holding Group, a Middleby company. She brings skills in fostering cross-functional collaboration across different business departments and an aptitude for analyzing market dynamics as well as developing customized strategies to meet customer demands amid a competitive landscape, says the release.
