Jersey Mike’s Taps Industry Vet for Global Growth
Andy Skehan will spearhead the fast-casual’s global expansion with a focus on Canada and the UK.
Jersey Mike’s Subs has appointed Andy Skehan as president of international and has charged him with spearheading its global expansion. Specifically, Skehan will lead the fast-casual’s multinational growth strategy, development, operations and marketing initiatives as it scales its presence across key markets, with a focus on Canada and the U.K.
Skehan joins Jersey Mike’s with deep experience leading franchise operations and international growth for premier brands. He most recently served as president and CEO of Home Franchise Concepts, one of North America’s largest franchising systems in the home services industry. Prior to that, he was president of North America at Krispy Kreme and spent six years as president of international at Popeyes. His career also includes leadership roles as COO of Wendy’s/Arby’s Int’l. and senior operations, marketing and management positions with Churchill Downs, Nabisco and PepsiCo Restaurants Int’l. He has served as an officer in the U.S. Navy.
Jersey Mike’s started its international expansion in 2024, establishing a partnership with Redberry Restaurants, one of Canada’s largest restaurant operators, to open 300 locations in the country by 2034. Overall, it has more than 3,000 locations in the U.S. and Canada. Blackstone acquired the brand in November 2024 and it has since expanded its team with new CEO Charlie Morrison and president and COO Stacy Peterson.
