Houston TX Hot Chicken Gains Franchise Momentum
In four years’ time, the hot chicken chain has sold 100 franchise units—and then some.
Last October, Houston TX Hot Chicken marked 100 franchise units sold and hired Andie Smirl as its director of franchise sales.
Meanwhile, the brand’s latest update shared today, Jan. 28, entails another 26 franchise units on the horizon. The deals span four markets where the brand does not yet have an operational presence, with 11 units in store for Illinois and five apiece in Louisiana, Arkansas and New York.
“These agreements represent another important step forward as we continue building a truly national brand,” says Brian Simowitz, president of Houston TX Hot Chicken. “We’re seeing sustained interest from experienced operators across the country, and our development pipeline remains strong as we work toward additional market expansion in the months ahead.”
The fast-casual, founded in 2021, currently has 29 locations open across eight states: Arizona, California, Nevada, Washington, Texas, Utah, Idaho and Michigan. In 2023, it entered a strategic growth partnership with the private equity firm Savory Fund.
