Unox Starts Production in US
Representing a $20 million investment, the facility will produce North American market-geared products.
Unox has started production at its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Denver, N.C. The facility expansion represents a $20 million investment. It will produce Unox’s North American market-geared products, such as its recently launched convection oven.
“By establishing domestic production capabilities, we’re not only streamlining our supply chain but also ensuring we can respond more quickly to the specific needs of American operators,” says Derrick Richardson, Unox president of North America, in the release.
Unox is headquartered in Padua, Italy. Nicola Michelon, CEO of Unox Group, says, “The North Carolina facility represents our dedication to supporting the growth and innovation of the American foodservice industry while maintaining our commitment to quality and excellence.”
Unox says it selected North Carolina for its proximity to major transportation corridors, skilled workforce and strong manufacturing heritage. Unox has already established a presence in the Charlotte area with its existing operations. Overall, Unox operates in more than 110 countries.
In November, Unox acquired Roboqbo Srl, a manufacturer of food and cosmetics processing systems based in Bologna, Italy.
