RATIONAL has officially opened the expansion of its plant in Wittenheim, France. The plant now features double the amount of production space for the manufacturer’s iVario Pro intelligent tilt skillet, modern workspaces, and a spacious Customer Experience Center for customers and partners.

RATIONAL has manufactured the iVario Pro and its predecessor models at the Wittenheim site for more than 20 years. It produced more than 10,000 cooking systems in 2025. With the new plant, it has increased potential production capacity to 25,000 units per year, and the building’s design allows for future expansion to more than 75,000 units per year. RATIONAL manufactures a collection of its other products at its main site in southern Germany.

In total, the Wittenheim site features roughly 108,000 square feet of production space. The Customer Experience Center has three training centers for cooking demonstrations, training courses, and customer and partner events. There also is a modern staff restaurant and about 16,000 square feet of office space. Wittenheim also is the home to the headquarters of RATIONAL’s French sales subsidiary. Around 270 people from 11 countries work at the site.
