Guac Mexi Grill, a Canadian fast-casual Tex-Mex restaurant brand, has signed a 95-unit U.S. development deal, marking its entry into the American restaurant market. The 10-year expansion strategy will focus on Georgia, South Carolina and Florida. The first units will open in 2027.

Guac Mexi Grill is celebrating its 10-year anniversary after launching in Ontario in 2016. It has 55-plus units across Canada.

“Entering the United States with a 95-unit development agreement reflects our long-term vision for the brand,” says Trushna Makadia, CEO of Guac Mexi Grill, in the release. “We’re approaching this expansion with the same commitment to operational excellence and guest experience that has shaped our growth since 2016.”

Guac Mexi Grill offers customizable burritos, bowls, tacos and other Tex-Mex menu items. Its restaurant format fits traditional retail plazas, shopping centers, street-front locations and select nontraditional venues.

The brand says it differentiates its offering through house-made sauces, guacamole prepared in-store, fire-grilled proteins and an elevated industrial-modern restaurant environment. It says it combines the speed and convenience of quick-service dining with an emphasis on culinary preparation and guest experience.
