With a batch of new deals, Dairy Queen is set to treat customers in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan—all new markets for the brand.

The first store of the bunch, located in Taipei 101 tower in Taipei, Taiwan, opened Nov. 18. It is offering locally inspired items including a pistachio crisp blizzard, matcha red bean blizzard and avocado milkshake, along with standard DQ desserts.

The chain also will add more units in Qatar, amounting to 187 units across the four markets.

Here’s what’s ahead for each respective market:

  • Hong Kong: Shanghai Dairy Queen Limited will open 60 DQ restaurants by 2034, with the majority offering dessert and no hot food.
  • Macau: Shanghai Dairy Queen Limited will open 12 restaurants in Macau before 2034.
  • Taiwan: SFB Corp. Limited, along with Shanghai Dairy Queen Limited, will open and operate 100 new DQ restaurants before 2034. Most (70 units) will be dessert-only locations and the rest will offer hot food and dessert.
  • Qatar: Al-Majid Jawad W.L.L, will open 15 new DQ restaurants in Qatar by 2030, of which five will be dessert locations and 10 will offer hot food and dessert. The deal adds to Al-Majid Jawad W.L.L’s existing 10 DQs in the country.

“Entering new markets and growing existing markets is a key component of our growth strategy,” says Nicolas Boudet, COO international at Int’l. Dairy Queen, in a release. “With 7,700 DQ restaurants in more than 20 markets, we’re pleased to add to our footprint and to do so with experienced franchise ownership groups focused on operating successful restaurants with employees that deliver on our mission to create positive memories for all who touch DQ.”
