Twin Peaks, FAT Brands Break Ties
Summit Acquisitions, a strategic advisory group formed by franchise operators, will assume an advisory role on behalf of the brand’s bondholders.
Twin Peaks is set to return to its previous status as a privately held company operating as Summit Twin Hospitality I. It will no longer be associated with FAT Brands.
Summit Acquisitions will oversee the brand’s operations and growth strategy as it works toward completing a full acquisition of Twin Peaks over the next 12 to 16 months, notes the press release. Summit Acquisitions is composed of franchise operators that built and scaled Twin Peaks lodges across the U.S. and internationally, including 3B Lodge, JEB Food Group and Operadora 2 Montes – Mexico.
Twin Peaks says the move positions it for financial stability, long-term private growth and continued expansion. Today, the brand maintains more than 110 locations in the U.S. and Mexico.
Twin Peaks lodges nationwide will continue operating as normal, with no staffing reductions planned and the brand’s corporate leadership team remaining in place.
