CFS Brands Acquires Spring USA’s Parent Company

The company has acquired Cornerstone Foodservice Group, which includes Spring USA, Equipex, LloydPans, Astra and Versa-Gard.

CFS Brands announced today it has acquired Cornerstone Foodservice Group. Based in Naperville, Ill., CFG includes Spring USA, LloydPans, Versa-Gard, Equipex and Astra. CFG has manufacturing operations in Washington, Rhode Island and Georgia.

“The combination of CFG and CFS Brands will give customers even further access to the broadest and deepest lineup of products and solutions to enhance their business,” says Trent Freiberg, CEO of CFS Brands, in the release.

Kristine Holtz, CEO of CFG says, “This partnership allows us to build on our legacy of innovation and service while creating new opportunities for our customers and employees.”

Post-acquisition, the CFG brands will continue to operate as standalone entities within CFS Brands. The companies say customers and suppliers can expect business as usual, with ongoing interactions conducted as they are today.

CFS Brands, of Oklahoma City, Okla., includes Carlisle FoodService Products, San Jamar, Dinex, Sparta, WipesPlus, Araven, El Castor, Jofel, Snap Drape, Marko, Winco, Bar Maid, G.E.T., Elite Global Solutions, AyrKing and Piper brands globally. In February, it announced it had acquired Mercer Culinary.

In other year-end M&A news, Unox has acquired Roboqbo Srl and Electrolux Professional Group picked up Royal Range.
