Noonan’s appointment follows Terry O’Brien’s retirement announcement on July 1. According to a press release the same day, O’Brien decided to retire in order to focus on his health and larger life goals. He will serve as an advisor to the chairman of the board to ensure a smooth transition, and will then continue as a member of the Board of Directors.

“On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Terry for his leadership, strategic guidance and contributions to TriMark,” says Jim Clough, chairman of the board. “During his tenure, Terry helped advance important priorities across our commercial teams, supply chain optimization and technology enablement, strengthening the foundation for TriMark’s next phase of growth. We wish Terry all the best as he enjoys this next chapter.”

Noonan has financial, operational and leadership experience. During his tenure as CFO, he was involved in advancing TriMark’s strategic priorities, it says. Prior to TriMark, he served as CFO of Hollingsworth & Vose, which offers filtration and energy storage solutions. He also previously held senior leadership roles at Suffolk Construction, including vice president, operations and CFO.

“I look forward to working closely with the board and leadership team as we continue advancing TriMark’s priorities and sharpening our focus on our core business where we have the clearest right to win,” Noonan says. “TriMark has strong momentum, a disciplined strategy and a deep commitment to serving our customers. We remain focused on building on our leadership position across foodservice equipment, supplies and services while continuing to deliver value for all our stakeholders.”

TriMark has begun to search for its next CFO. In the interim, CFO responsibilities will continue to be supported by TriMark’s finance team.
