WebstaurantStore has opened its largest distribution center, located at 210 Breaker Drive in Hagerstown, Md. The center measures 1.2 million square feet and features over seven miles of conveyor systems. The center currently has 150 employees and the company plans to hire at least 100 more throughout the coming year.

The Hagerstown center marks WebstaurantStore’s fourth distribution center in Maryland. In a Jan. 28 release, the company says the center will help strengthen its ability to efficiently serve customers across the eastern U.S. and beyond. It also says the expansion reflects its continued investment in automation, infrastructure and workforce development to meet growing customer demand.

“After more than two years of preparation, we’re excited to finally open and launch shipping operations at our Hagerstown facility,” says GM Jeremy Jennings. “This launch was made possible by the efforts of multiple teams across our company, and we’re proud to add this facility to our Northeast network as we begin serving our customers. We’re honored to have this facility in the city of Hagerstown and look forward to becoming an employer of choice in the community.”

Part of Clark Associates, WebstaurantStore serves as an online restaurant supply store servicing professionals and individual customers worldwide. Over the years, it has expanded its selection of commercial equipment and wholesale supplies to include healthcare, educational, food, beverage, office, parts, hotel, shipping and industrial supplies.
