Krystal Is Going to New Jersey
The Atlanta-based brand is calling the expansion a ‘major milestone’ in its 93-year history.
On March 2, slider chain Krystal will open its first-ever store in New Jersey, signifying its debut in the Northeast.
The Union, N.J. restaurant will be led by Victor Cruz, a former New York Giants wide receiver, Super Bowl XLVI champion and sportscaster; he grew up in Paterson, N.J., about 19 miles away from Union.
“Bringing Krystal to New Jersey reflects the momentum we’ve built and our confidence that Krystal’s food and guest experience resonate well beyond the South,” says Kaitlin Kees, senior director of marketing at Krystal. “Partnering with Victor—a football legend with deep New Jersey roots and a genuine love for the brand—makes this opening especially meaningful.”
In addition to Krystal’s standard menu, the Union restaurant plans to introduce limited-time offerings inspired by Cruz.
Krystal currently operates in 13 states, with nearly 300 restaurants.
