KFC Opens Western European Flagship

The new technologically advanced location is indicative of the brand’s rapid growth across Europe and beyond.

KFC Rome

KFC has opened its two-floor Rome flagship, nestled near the famed Trevi Fountain.

The unit is the largest in Europe, spanning 10,763 square feet (1,000 square meters), and also one of the first in Europe to offer a new range of specialty drinks like shakes, lemonades and refreshers.

While the flagship represents continued European growth, KFC already has more than 2,200 restaurants across 40 countries in Europe; it hopes to double that number within the next five years, notes a release.

The brand also will continue to open additional flagship stores in key European cities over the coming years. Last year, it opened a flagship in Prague.

“We are thrilled to bring our most modern and ambitious flagship to Rome, and this next to the Trevi fountain,” says Dhruv Kaul, managing director of KFC EMEA. “This opening marks a significant milestone in our journey to establish KFC as a leading brand across Europe, and reflects our strategic focus on iconic locations that bridge history and modern relevance.”
