AHF To Mark Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week

September is National Food Safety Month. October brings another commemoration of the foodservice industry. From Oct. 1-7, the Association for Healthcare Foodservice will celebrate Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week.

The tradition was begun in 1985 by a legacy association that is now part of AHF. “Foodservice and nutrition professionals in healthcare play a vital role in maintaining the well-being of our patients,” said AHF Pres. Beth Yesford. “Healthcare Foodservice Workers Week is our way to say ‘thank you’ to the many dedicated individuals who work tirelessly to provide comfort to our patients.”

Additional information, including details for the YouTube contest and a customized collection of gifts for foodservice employees, is available on the AHF website.
