Manitowoc Foodservice Breaks Ground For New Cleveland Facility

Manitowoc Foodservice Ovens and Advanced Cooking is putting down stronger roots in Cleveland. The company broke ground recently on a new 30,000-sq.-ft. facility there, which the company will complete later this year. The expanded building will include new quality systems, computerized work instructions, lean workflow systems and state-of-the-art warehouse operations, as well as a commercial kitchen for customer support, equipment testing and sales training.

The manufacturing facility will produce Cleveland Steamers, Garland convection ovens, Convotherm combi ovens and Lincoln conveyor ovens and will manage the marketing and distribution of Manitowoc’s Merrychef speed ovens.

Total investment in the project is estimated at more than $8 million with more than 100 new manufacturing jobs to be created.

“The growth and investment taking place is great news for all of us,” said Glen Tellock, Manitowoc’s chairman and CEO. “I look forward to the benefits this will bring for our customers, community and employees.”
