Manitowoc Names Chris Karssiens As EVP For Asia Pacific

Manitowoc Foodservice has appointed Chris Karssiens to the role of executive vice president-Foodservice Asia Pacific (APAC). In his new post, effective immediately, Karssiens is responsible for fulfilling the New Port Richey, Fla., company’s APAC strategy and annual business plans, and overseeing its operations in China (Foshan and Hangzhou) and Singapore, as well as its joint-venture company near Bangkok. He will be based in Singapore, and report directly to Robert Hund, president of Manitowoc Foodservice.

Karssiens brings a wealth of experience to the position. He recently served as VP/ GM of Manitowoc’s custom fabrication business, including the Delfield brand; prior to that role, he was v.p.-General Market Sales Americas. Before Manitowoc acquired Enodis, Karssiens was the executive leader for Enodis’ Asia-Pacific operations from 2005 -09. In 1998, under Enodis, he joined Manitowoc as v.p.- sales for Scotsman Ice Systems. Since then, he has held key leadership positions including commercial president for Enodis USA, president of Jackson MSC and president of Ice-O-Matic.
