- Nor-Lake was honored recently with an award recognizing its 45 years of association with the Dairy Queen System. Nor-Lake has supplied walk-in and cabinet equipment to Dairy Queen since 1968. The Hudson, Wis., company received the award at the 2013 Dairy Queen Supply Chain Summit, Sept. 24-27, in St. Petersburg, Fla.
- Middleby Corp. has been named a 2013 Supplier Partner of the Year recipient by Brinker Int’l. Two of the Elgin, Ill., company’s divisions were honored. The Middleby Marshall/CTX conveyor cooking platform, along with Carter-Hoffmann food-holding equipment, have been rolled out over the past three years in all corporate and franchised Chili’s Grill & Bar restaurants. It was one of the largest investments in Chili’s history, according to Homero Ortegon, v.p.-strategic innovation for Brinker Int’l.
