Gleitsmann Shifts From Scotsman To Exec Role At Ali Group

Rich Gleitsmann, the president of Scotsman Ice Systems, has been appointed executive vice president of Ali Group North America, effective September 1. He will transition from his role at Scotsman, a division of the Ali Group. In his new role as EVP, Gleitsmann will be responsible for driving improvement programs throughout Ali Group companies within North America in close, personal collaboration with CEO Filippo Berti, to whom he will directly report.

Following the transition period, Berti will assume the duties of president of Scotsman Ice Systems, in addition to continuing as CEO of Ali Group North America. Kevin Fink will continue in his role as group managing director-Americas for Scotsman Industries.

In the announcement, Berti said: “It is a real honor to have Rich join our executive team as he has extensive experience in the commercial foodservice equipment industry. In addition to his recent presidency at Scotsman Ice Systems, where he achieved exceptional results, his experience includes an 11-year tenure at ITW Corp., where he most recently served as president of ITW Food Equipment Group as well as Hobart North America.”
