In Memoriam: Scotsman’s Paul Johnson

Paul Johnson, who spent nearly 30 years in the foodservice equipment industry, passed away suddenly on Dec. 2. He was 68. Johnson joined the E&S industry in 1985 and spent more than 20 years at ITW as a channel manager. In 2006, he joined Scotsman Ice Systems as a business development manager. For more than seven years he served as Scotsman’s “Brand Ambassador” to the dealer buying group community as well as to the consultant/spec. market. He retired in June.

"During his tenure, all who worked and interacted with Paul could attest to him being the consummate professional in his approach to his work, while at the same time, being the most sincerely nice person anyone could ever work with,” said Nate Jackson, v.p.-sales and marketing at Scotsman.

Johnson was a member of Society for Hospitality and Foodservice Management, Foodservice Consultants Society International, FCSI Americas, and served on the board of FCSI Educational Foundation.
