Duke Promotes Marvel To Presidency

Duke Manufacturing Co. promoted David Marvel to president from chief operating officer. In addition, the manufacturer has hired Tom LaMantia to serve as executive v.p.-global operations, and Kathy Veder to serve as v.p.-strategic national accounts.

As president, Marvel will manage the St. Louis company’s day-to-day business activities and work with the executive team to achieve its strategic and financial objectives. Marvel joined Duke in 2010 from Olin Corp.

In his new role, LaMantia will work closely with the executive team on strategy development and will provide direction to Duke’s operations and new product development teams. Prior to joining Duke, LaMantia was president of Watlow and worked for Fortune 500 Companies GE and Honeywell.

Veder, a veteran of more than 20 years in the foodservice industry, will lead Duke’s strategic chain-accounts sales team. She joins Duke from Manitowoc Foodservice Group, where she was v.p.-global accounts.
