Mérieux NutriSciences Acquires Total Quality Food Consultants

Mérieux NutriSciences Corp. has acquired Total Quality Food Consultants, expanding its global role in regulatory, scientific and marketing services to the foodservice and non-food industries.

TQF was founded in Verona, Italy, in 1992 by Giuseppe Patat, who will remain as a consultant for R&D and strategic marketing. The firm specializes in regulatory expertise, offering compliance certification in 147 countries for more than 100 product categories, and offers an online regulatory, scientific and marketing label-translation tool applicable to 60 countries in 35 languages.

Mérieux NutriSciences focuses on global public health through a wide range of services to the food, foodservice and nutrition segments. Its Silliker division focuses on solutions for foodservice, catering and distribution companies to ensure product safety and quality. Among its services are analytical nutrient testing, database recipe analysis, technical consultation and support and nutrient content reviews.
