Heritage Foodservice Group Launches E-Commerce Site

It doesn’t get any more 24/7 than this. Heritage Foodservice Group has launched heritageparts.com, offering its customers online tools and technology to research and buy parts, backed by integrated help from the company’s customer-service representatives.

“Expanding our online reach is critical to the future success of Heritage,” said Heritage Pres./CEO John McDonough. “Heritageparts.com was created to give customers every possible option for researching and purchasing parts. Whether online, via phone or through email, Heritage customers have true 24/7 access to what they need, when they need it. This new web presence will enhance the unique customer-service approach Heritage is known for in our industry.”

With its website, the Fort Wayne, Ind., firm now offers its customers online access to parts inventory and real-time calculation of shipping and handling costs from its industry-leading warehouse inventory of OEM parts.

Heritage worked with software developer Hybris to create a platform that delivers enterprise software and on-demand solutions for e-commerce, multi-channel commerce, master data management and order management. Customers can view parts images and specifications and fits model links, as well as access a library of 50,000 equipment manuals, parts diagrams and schematics. Customer-service advice can be accessed directly from the website.

“Our e-commerce efforts are critical to the future success of Heritage,” McDonough said. “E-commerce will not take away the personalized customer-service platform that is unique to Heritage but will enhance those efforts to best serve our customers.”
