Global Management Moves:

Alto-Shaam has made changes to its global leadership team, promoting Mark Kreple, Senior V.P.-International Sales, to a consulting role at the Wisconsin firm after 11 years leading the development and management of Alto-Shaam’s international business; he oversaw a near tripling of global sales volume and the restructuring of business in Canada, as well as the expansion of sales through Alto-Shaam Germany, the establishment of Alto-Shaam China and the addition of sales offices in Moscow, Manila and Mexico City. Matthew Cottrell is the manufacturer’s new V.P.-International Sales. Cottrell has more than two decades of experience in the foodservice industry, including the last two years serving as Alto-Shaam’s v.p. of international sales-Europe, Middle East and Africa. He has been responsible for the company’s business development in Germany, France and Italy as well as gaining independent sales representatives and distributors for the Benelux, Russian Federation and former Eastern Bloc countries.

Ali Group has named Robert Gehl as Group Commercial Director for Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC). He is acting as the group-level contact for regional and global key accounts with hotel and restaurant chains, buying groups, catering companies and QSRs. A nearly 25-year veteran of the foodservice equipment industry, Gehl joined Ali Group last November after a 10-year tenure at Pentair’s water-filtration-systems division as director of foodservice-EMEA. Prior to that, he held various sales, marketing and management positions with Lancer Corp./Hoshizaki, Multiplex/Manitowoc Foodservice and JetSpray/Cornelius. Gehl, a U.S. and Belgian dual national, is based in Ali’s head offices in Milan, Italy. Ali Group has 76 global brands.

T&S Brass and Bronze Works has made personnel appointments in China and India. Andrew Clayton has been named G.M. of T&S operations in Shanghai, China. Most recently at Scotsman Ice Systems as managing director of the company’s Shanghai operations, Clayton was also general-administration manager for the Asia Pacific division of Enodis Plc. The Shanghai facility includes a manufacturing plant and is the company’s sales headquarters and customer-service center for China. T&S has hired Rajesh Chowdhury as regional sales manager for India and the subcontinent. Chowdhury joins the South Carolina company after working as regional head of sales for Cambro-Nilkamal Private Ltd., where he served in all facets of sales and marketing. At T&S, he will focus primarily on new business development in what T&S expects to be a key market. Chowdhury will be based in Bangalore.
