New President For Imperial Brown

Imperial Brown, the walk-in cooler/freezer manufacturer, has named Justin Sandall as its president. He succeeds Rick Schermerhorn, who will retire this year after nine years as president. Sandall has served as executive v.p., CFO and COO of the Portland, Ore., company. He will retain COO responsibilities.

Imperial Mfg., established in 1970, acquired the 100-year-old W.A. Brown & Son of Salisbury, N.C., in 2012. The business was merged into Imperial Brown, and is 100% employee-owned.

Sandall will be based in Portland and will spend one week per month at the North Carolina plant. Schermerhorn will remain with the company in an advisory capacity until his retirement in July. Christel Jimenez has been appointed CFO.
