Component Hardware Acquires Parts Supplier

Component Hardware Group has purchased Specialty Food Service Hardware and its related sister company, Vision Parts & Accessories. The Markham, Ontario-based companies supply components and parts to the foodservice and plumbing markets throughout Canada. Both will remain in their Ontario headquarters and continue to service their current customers while providing expanded coverage for Component Hardware Group’s product line to the Canadian market. In conjunction with the acquisition, Harold Clarke, president of Specialty and Vision, announced his retirement.

Harry Franze, President/CEO of Lakewood, N.J.-based Component, stated “It was apparent from the start of our discussions that the business Harold and his team built would provide a great growth platform for Component Hardware Group in one of our key markets.  After 25 successful years, we look forward to Harold helping us transition the business over the next few months,” he concluded.

“The acquisition of Specialty Food Service Hardware and Vision Parts & Accessories further strengthens our leadership position in the foodservice hardware and commercial plumbing markets,” said Ed Whartnaby, executive vice president-sales and marketing at Component. “We will be able to provide our Canadian customers with a broader array of products with the same high quality and local customer service support that they have come to expect.”
