MAFSI Announces Biennial Award Winners

Twelve foodservice notables were honored last week by their peers at MAFSI’s Business Development Conference in Phoenix. The Atlanta-based rep association gave out its biennial awards in six categories to individuals and companies who have demonstrated leadership and exemplary performance within the industry and to MAFSI.

Nine MAFSI members, one MAFSI chapter, and two non-members were honored January 15.

  • The association’s top award, the MAFSI Tony (named for Anthony Mazur and given to an agent who has consistently performed and demonstrated sincere interest, effort, and leadership and has given time to the welfare and progress of MAFSI and the enhancement of the rep’s function and position in the industry) went to Danny Collis, Collis Group Inc., MAFSI Region 26 – Canada.

Other award winners are:

  • Lifetime Membership:  Elliot Horowitz, Elliot Horowitz Associates, MAFSI Region 03 – New York Metro
  • Honorary Member:  Tedde and Jim Reid, SEFA
  • Special Recognition (for contributing to the success of their regional chapter):
Chris Jeens, W.D. Colledge Co., MAFSI Region 26 – Canada

Melissa Greenwald, Zink Foodservice, MAFSI Region 07 – Mid-America

  • Bill Loveless Chapter of the Year: MAFSI Region 03 – New York Metro
  • Market Mover (individuals/organizations from associate/manufacturer member companies whose leadership has advanced the rep function and foodservice industry):
