In Memoriam: Procam Controls’ Roy Seibert

Roy Seibert, the founder of Procam Controls in Plano, Texas, died May 18 after a brief illness. He was 59. The company was acquired last November by Aquion Inc.

At the time of his death, Seibert led the Procam Controls division as Business Unit President and General Manager. He built Procam to become a leading supplier of water and chemical management systems for foodservice (through its OptiPure filtration systems) and for the printing, medical imaging and photographic industries. Seibert held patents on five water treatment and fountain solution recycling systems for commercial printers.

“This is a great shock to all of us losing Roy,” said Aquion President Michael Madsen. “He was well-respected by everyone in the industry, a true innovator who led by example. He built Procam by rolling up his sleeves and getting down to work to develop a worldwide customer base of foodservice equipment OEMs and significant retail food and beverage marketers.”

Seibert is survived by his wife, Sherry; a son and daughter; his parents; and a brother. A private memorial service is planned this week in Texas.
