Bargreen Ellingson To Acquire The Restaurant Source

Bargreen Ellingson, the country’s seventh largest E&S dealer, has acquired The Restaurant Source, the Denver-based foodservice equipment, supply and design company that serves customers across Colorado. The deal, announced by Bargreen Ellingson President David Ellingson, brings together two family-owned companies.

The Restaurant Source was founded in 1951 and purchased by the Schatz family in 1976; its remains privately owned and operated by Arnie Schatz and his children, Linda Schatz and Michelle Friedman, who serves as president of the company.

“TRS has been a major part of the whole Schatz family’s life for over 40 years,” says Michelle. “Our employees are our extended family. We are so excited that we could sell our company to a family that shares our values and our passion for the business. We are so pleased to hand over the keys to Bargreen Ellingson and know that our legacy is safe and our employees are in good hands.”

Family owned since 1960, Tacoma, Wash.-based Bargreen Ellingson ranks seventh on FER’s 2016 Top Dealers list, reporting verified sales of $223 million in 2015. The Restaurant Source had estimated sales of $23.7 million last year.
