Dykstra To Retire, Karssiens And Dei Dolori Take New Roles In Manitowoc’s Americas Buying Group And Asia Pacific Region

Manitowoc Foodservice has announced a number of leadership shifts in its overseas business executive team.

Gary Dykstra, V.P. Sales-Buying Groups, will retire from his post at the end of the year, and continue with Manitowoc as a consultant to the business. Chris Karssiens, newly appointed Senior V.P. Sales-USA Buying Groups, will replace Dykstra in the role. Manitowoc Foodservice also has named Phil Dei Dolori as Senior V.P. and General Manager EMEA and APAC.

Karssiens has been with Manitowoc Foodservice for 18 years and held multiple leadership roles. He most recently served as senior v.p.-APAC based in Singapore. In his new position, he will be responsible for Manitowoc Foodservice’s work with dealer buying groups, foodservice consultants, and government markets (GSA). He’ll be based at Manitowoc headquarters in New Port Richey, Fla., and will report to Bob Wonder, senior v.p.-Commercial Americas.  Earlier in his career, Karssiens worked at Scotsman Industries, Culligan International, and Sara Lee.

Dei Dolori will assume responsibility for the APAC region in addition to his current EMEA responsibility as senior v.p. and general manager-EMEA and APAC. Dei Dolori has been with Manitowoc Foodservice for nine years in a variety of different commercial and product leadership positions. He’ll remain based in Eglfing, Germany, and work with regional teams to grow the company’s relationships with current segments and create new strategies to maximize sales.

Dykstra, a 30-year company veteran, has held various leadership positions across multiple Manitowoc brand portfolios, including Garland, Cleveland and Frymaster. “We wish Gary well on his retirement and thank him for his years of service and dedication to Manitowoc Foodservice,” says Senior V.P./COO Josef Matosevic. “We look forward to Chris focusing on the value Manitowoc Foodservice brings to our channel partners by further developing our ‘win-win’ strategy and anticipate that Phil will continue to grow our strong relationships in APAC with his expanded global responsibilities.”
