After five busy days in Hamburg, the 92nd edition of INTERNORGA came to a conclusion March 13.

More than 1,300 exhibitors from 25 nations were on site in Germany to present trends and innovations in equipment, supplies and food to 93,000 show visitors who not only saw top trends in equipment and supplies but also enjoyed new innovative formats such as a craft spirit lounge, the German Gastro Prize and the Next Chef Award. Show organizers report a high percentage of decision makers among attendees; visitors from outside Germany accounted for 6% of overall attendance.

“Every year INTERNORGA scouts out the trends and presents them and many more key topics in a professional and creative way. Again and again, it gives new inputs and networking opportunities for the whole of the food service and hospitality market,” says Bernd Aufderheide, President and CEO Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH.

INTERNORGA 2018’s conference program, including three big industry meetings—the 37th International Foodservice Forum, the 44th German Catering Congress, and the 8th Forum School Catering—featured well-known experts, practitioners and consultants for exchange of ideas at international level. Some 3,000 trade visitors attended the conferences for exclusive industry insights. Among the highlights:

  • Grill & BBQ Court spotlighting classic grills, BBQ smokers, dry-aging refrigerators, and all the catering equipment that goes with them.
  • Newcomers’ Area, highlighting new concepts and ideas from 20 innovators.
  • Future Awards, presented at the Opening Gala, honoring forward-looking, sustainable products, services and strategies.
  • Trend forums, including Café FUTURE live, the hospitality lounge and Think-In for professional foodservice, features creative culinary tasters and roundtable talks about the future of the foodservice world.

The 93rd INTERNORGA will be held at the Hamburg Messe site from March 15-19 2019.
