UK’s Giraffe Chain Goes Sky High

Giraffe World Kitchen is taking flight with plans to grow its presence in international airports. The British casual-dining chain, acquired from Tesco by Boparan Restaurant Group more than two years ago, kicked off a deal to expand into Spain’s airports by opening both a full-service Giraffe Restaurant & Bar and a Giraffe Stop, the brand’s grab-and-go format, at Malaga Airport. Giraffe already has airport locations in the UK and Dubai. More traditional outlets are in the offing for the UK where Giraffe’s footprint includes 37 company-owned restaurants and 17 franchise outlets.
