Marcone’s commercial kitchen division has a new vice president of manufacturer partnerships: Steve Otto, who comes to Marcone following a 30-year career at Darden Restaurants.

Marcone, a St. Louis-based distributor of home appliances, HVAC and plumbing repair parts, announced its expansion into the commercial segment last fall, tapping former Welbilt executive Keri Llewellyn as its president and industry veteran EJ Morrow as its chief commercial officer.

Now, Otto, in his newly created role, will facilitate partnerships with the industry’s leading original equipment manufacturers, ensuring replacement parts are accessible to service companies across the country.

Otto most recently worked as Darden Restaurants’ director of capital equipment and strategic sourcing. In that capacity, he worked collaboratively with manufacturers to ensure Darden locations had access to necessary equipment.

He also has been part of the National Restaurant Association’s Kitchen Innovations working group.
