AyrKing Continues To Grow Engineering Team

AyrKing continues to expand its engineering team. Most recently, the manufacturer of food preparation equipment hired Sophie Wegenast as a mechanical engineer.

Wegenast will be responsible for producing drawings, prototype testing and other tasks that strengthen AyrKing’s engineering capabilities and support business growth. She will work closely with the team on key food preparation projects, helping grow the company’s innovation pipeline by solving real-world back-of-house challenges for customers.

A graduate of the University of Louisville J.B. Speed School of Engineering, Wegenast brings several years of hands-on and computer-aided design experience to the AyrKing team.

“Sophie’s unique combination of hands-on manufacturing and design experience adds valuable capability to our team,” says Jim Bell, president of AyrKing, in the release. “As we continue to expand, her ability to move from concept to prototype will help us solve challenges our customers face.”

Earlier this fall, AyrKing announced Alex Baker and Rushi Bhakta had each taken the role of Mechanical Engineer I.
