Dallas-based gastropub Bar Louie has appointed industry veteran Brian Wright as CEO to guide the 70-unit full-service brand into its next growth phase.

Wright joins the brand from Tijuana Flats, where he served as CEO. During his tenure with the 123-unit Tex-Mex concept, he was credited for rebuilding the senior management team and executing a “highly successful” three-year growth plan, says Bar Louie. Wright also previously held leadership positions with Bertucci’s, Au Bon Pain and Einstein Bros. Bagels.

As CEO of Bar Louie, Wright’s responsibilities include utilizing strategies and technologies to create a modern bar experience for customers.

“We are thrilled that Brian has chosen to take the leadership reins at Bar Louie. Brian brings an impressive background with proven success as a leader in the restaurant industry,” says Gordon Paris, Bar Louie board chairman, in a press release. “With his track record of guiding legendary brands and a clear vision for the future, he is the perfect choice to take advantage of the many opportunities we see at Bar Louie and to lead our business to even greater heights.”

Bar Louie’s menu features handcrafted cocktails, burgers and sandwiches, though the brand says no two bars are the same because it “listens to the neighborhoods it serves.”

Bar Louie was founded in downtown Chicago in 1990.
