Tampa-based Innovative Foodservice Group announced April 14 that it had appointed Kyle Herod as vice president of business development.

Herod will drive new business opportunities supporting the IFG portfolio of companies. He will work closely with the design and sales teams to grow the customer base. He will report to CEO Iain Whyte.

In his 20-year sales career, Herod has held multiple sales management and leadership positions. Herod brings big brand sales experience from PepsiCo in the consumer-packaged goods industry; he delivered operational expertise as a GM for Walmart in the retail sector; and he oversaw national account sales in the foodservice equipment, smallwares and disposable segment at TriMark South. Most recently, he served as vice president of retail and integration at AmerCareRoyal, supporting a full portfolio of disposable products into foodservice and related channels.

Last week, IFG announced its acquisition of Foodservice & Restaurant Supply, based in Charleston, S.C.
