Easy Ice Continues To Gain Ground in Texas

Easy Ice, a provider of managed ice machine rentals, has acquired the ice machine leasing division of Armadillo Service Co., based in Amarillo, Texas.

The division predominately operates within the Texas panhandle. Easy Ice says the acquisition allows it to bridge the gap between its Oklahoma and New Mexico operations so it can better serve customers in the area.

“I am thrilled to be able to connect our operations in Oklahoma and New Mexico with such a fine company and customer base,” says Darren Boruff, chief acquisitions officer for Easy Ice, in the release. “This will enhance strategic value for the company as we continue to add density throughout the Southwest region to better service our customers.”

Armadillo Service Co., which has been in the commercial refrigeration business for over 40 years, will continue to offer its other services while Easy Ice takes over the leasing side of its business.

Among its many acquisitions this year, Easy Ice picked up two Texas companies, including Tri Cities Supply Co. and Wholesale Supply.
