GoTo Foods Launches Concept, Signs Deal
A Moe's Southwest Grill spinoff will help power international growth.

GoTo Foods has introduced a concept, called Moe’s Casa Mexicana, and signed a deal to develop 45 locations by 2033 in India.
Moe’s Casa Mexicana is a spinoff of Moe’s Southwest Grill and designed with international growth in mind. It has a menu that blends Mexican cuisine with local preferences, plus flexible store formats, including full-scale, in-line, dine-in and kiosk options.
Unify Foodworks will operate the stores in India and plans to open the first location this year. That menu will include scalable spice levels.
GoTo Foods says it built Moe’s Casa Mexicana based on insights from 2,000-plus consumers across six countries. It plans to capture the global interest in Mexican cuisine, a category it says is expected to grow by $114 billion by 2026.
Jim Holthouser, CEO of GoTo Foods, says Moe’s Casa Mexicana enables the company to expand another brand globally. “Our platform company model has already powered successful international growth for brands like Cinnabon and Auntie Anne’s, and now we’re applying that same proven approach to Moe’s Southwest Grill,” Holthouser says in the release. “With the right balance of global strategy and local market flexibility, we’re delivering consistency, innovation and operational excellence across continents.”
GoTo Foods says 60% of its development pipeline is now focused outside the U.S. The Atlanta-based company oversees over 6,900 stores in all 50 states and over 65 countries and territories. Along with Moe’s Southwest Grill, Cinnabon and Auntie Anne’s, its brands include Carvel, Jamba, McAlister’s Deli, Schlotzsky’s and Seattle’s Best Coffee.
