In Memoriam: Longtime MAFSI Member Larry Cantamessa

Today, MAFSI shared the passing of longtime member, Larry Cantamessa, president, PBAC & Associates, Eastchester, N.Y. He was 63.

“With 27 years at PBAC, and his 15-plus years serving MAFSI as both a board member and chapter leader, he was a dedicated, tireless supporter of the foodservice industry, and an amazing friend who will be greatly missed,” MAFSI writes.

Cantamessa joined PBAC 27 years ago as a sales trainee and quickly rose through the ranks as a key producer. In 2017, he became president and co-owner of the company. Cantamessa twice served as a MAFSI national board member as well as MAFSI Region 03-New York Metro chapter president. In 2016, he was bestowed MAFSI’s Pacesetter Award for demonstrating the highest degree of devotion and distinguished service in conjunction with MAFSI projects and activities.

Cantamessa is survived by his wife, Sarah, his daughters, Olivia and Hailey, and his stepchildren, Samantha and Nathan. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Memorial Sloan Cancer Center or the Partridge-Invitation Scholarship Foundation.
