Middleby Hires New President of Coffee Brands
The individual, who previously worked at Franke, has a 'deep understanding' of the European and North American coffee landscape, says Middleby.
This month, Middleby Coffee Solutions Group appointed Luciano Delpozzo as its new president.
The role puts him in charge of automatic bean-to-cup manufacturer Concordia, semi-automatic espresso machine manufacturer Synesso, nitro brew manufacturer JoeTap and traditional coffee brewer brand Bloomfield. Delpozzo will be based in the Seattle area, where the brands are headquartered.
Previously, Delpozzo held leadership positions at Unox, Franke and Esmach-Bongard, part of the Ali Group. While at Franke, he built his expertise in the automative coffee market and worked with large chain customers.
“He has a true passion for coffee and a long track record of successfully launching transformative solutions into the marketplace,” says Korey Kohl, president of Middleby Beverage. “A proven effective leader, Luciano understands the North American and European coffee landscape from his long-time engagement with customers, trends and products. The coffee equipment market shows continued potential for worldwide expansion, which will provide many future opportunities for our coffee products worldwide.
“As the cafe culture continues to gain momentum in new global locations, we are also seeing an evolution of the North American and western coffee culture,” Kohl adds. “I am confident under Luciano’s leadership Middleby Coffee will be well positioned to capitalize on these trends, strategically penetrate new markets and expand our customer base with our coffee innovation.”
