Parts Town Helps Fund Technician Education
The latest honors, valued at $15,000, conclude the company’s 2024 Technician Scholarship Award program.
Parts Town distributed 10 technician scholarships—two per each CFESA region—while at CFESA’s annual conference earlier this month in Savannah, Ga.
Companies earning a $1,000 CFESA training scholarship and a $500 cash prize are as follows: Auston Mealer Restaurant Equipment Service, Camp Food Equipment, Coker Service, Diamond Refrigeration, Gary’s East Coast Service, Jenson Refrigeration, Priority One, R&B Commercial, Valley Service and Vanco. Each receiving company can then select which technician they send to training.
“These scholarships not only enhance the technical skills of recipients but also help cultivate a more knowledgeable workforce in the foodservice equipment industry,” says “Daniel Reese, director of training at CFESA. “By investing in education, we are building a stronger foundation for the future of our trade.”
In addition to the awards presented at the CFESA conference, Parts Town also recognized five technicians at regional meetings, including recipients from Quality Commercial Services, McCarver Mechanical, Java247, Joe Warren and Sons, and TWC Services.
Parts Town has awarded over $22,000 this year through its technician scholarship program, and over $60,000 in the past three years. The program will resume next year, says Parts Town.
