Dan Hinkle, chief commercial officer, Refrigerated Solutions Group, has announced his retirement effective Dec. 31.
Hinkle’s career spans almost four decades in manufacturing, service and sales, including 15-plus years in the foodservice industry. At an early age, Hinkle’s summer job at a General Motors plant near his hometown of Dayton, Ohio, inspired a lifelong passion for American manufacturing. He began his career in production at Hartzell Air Movement and quickly found his way into sales, including a role as sales manager at Panasonic before a decade with Hobart Corp., where he held various leadership roles in customer service and sales. After building a service organization for Staco Energy Products, Hinkle returned to foodservice as vice president of sales for Welbilt’s KitchenCare division before joining RSG.
Hinkle joined RSG in 2019 and was a part of RSG’s transition back to an independent, privately held, family-owned company. As a member of RSG’s new executive leadership team, Hinkle helped lead through an unprecedented time in the industry. Hinkle’s positive impact at RSG will endure partly through the exceptional commercial leadership team he helped develop, including multiple senior leadership hires this year, the company states. Additionally, Hinkle will continue to support RSG as a strategic advisor.
