The Society for Hospitality and Foodservice Management (SHFM) has selected Michael Moore as the recipient of the 2022 Rising Young Professional Award.

The award recognizes an emerging individual who has been a standout among newest members, supporting the initiatives of SHFM through active engagement and participation in committees and activities.

Moore, a trained chef, is the vice president of business development at Restaurantware. Moore began his career as a chef in California before moving into foodservice management with Sodexo, according to LinkedIn. He joined Restaurantware in 2015.

The award was presented to Moore during the third annual SHFM Young Professionals Summit at the American Express World Headquarters in New York City on Sept. 15. Last month, Moore was inducted into the 2022-23 SHFM Class of Rising Stars, which recognizes individuals under age 40 for their “outstanding work” and importance they play in their organization’s success and longevity.
