ELECTROLUX OPENS NEW DISTRIBUTION CENTER

Electrolux cut the ribbon on its new southeast regional distribution center in Fairburn, Ga., on May 13. The company says its new 600,000 sq.ft, state-of-the-art distribution center and product showroom will optimize product delivery. It serves as the national distribution center for foodservice and laundry products sold to institutional and hospitality customers of Electrolux Professional; it also services an 11-state area for residential appliances.

“The proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson airport, rail service, and major highways makes the location ideal for transporting our products and reducing delivery time to our professional foodservice and laundry customers across the country,” said Chris Sisternas, v.p.-sales Americas for Electrolux Professional.

The facility includes energy-saving features such as skylights, motion-controlled lighting and heat-reflective roofing materials. The North American headquarters for Electrolux is in Charlotte, N.C.
