CFSP Program Changes, New Overview Seminar Announced

The Certified Food Service Professional program has a newly streamlined application and updating process. First, the point-earning/recording requirements have been simplified and the North American Food Equipment Manufacturers Association no longer differentiates between advancement and maintenance points. Certification is maintained by paying $50 dues every two years and by earning at least one point per year. Level advancement is made by earning the required number of points.

Also new is an annual overview seminar at NAFEM’s Chicago headquarters office in August. The Equipment & Supplies Overview Seminar is scheduled Wednesday, Aug. 10, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Attendees can follow it up with the exam in NAFEM’s offices on Aug. 11 or 12. Sign up at NAFEM’s website.
