DMA Proposes Bylaws Changes, Perhaps A Name Change

A year after it marked its first 50 years, the Dietary Managers Association is looking ahead and proposing several bylaws changes that will help lead the organization into the future.  Foremost is a proposed change of the association’s name. The DMA board says it is exploring ways and names that more accurately reflect its members’ professional responsibilities and stature. After 18 months in discussions and focus groups, members are asked to vote on the new name advanced by the board: Association of Nutrition and Foodservice Professionals (ANFP).

Votes for the name changes and proposed bylaws changes must be cast online by June 30. The revised version of the bylaws appears on the DMA website. http://www.dmaonline.org/

More information on the group’s 51st annual meeting and expo, July 24-27 in Dallas, is also at the website.
